Today’s Imperfect Action
This morning I caught myself procrastinating over taking action on something. And I’ve been doing it for quite some time – since the beginning of January in fact.
When I realised what I was doing it inspired me to create this quick video for you (4 minutes). In case you’ve been doing the same thing.
By the way, it’s imperfect – you will see what I mean
Have you also fallen into this very common trap recently? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
With Love & Gratitude,
Catherine: Great job! I simply love your way of communication. We meet in London on Experts Academy. I hope we’ll meet again:):):). Greetings from Slovenia.
Hi Maya, I think we met at Tony Robbins! I sat next to your husband? I also look forward to meeting again sometime x
Excellent! I’m guilty of perfection syndrome and always remind myself the advice of a colleague- don’t get it perfect – just get it moving! Thanks for the reminder!!
You are welcome – I need the constant reminder too or nothing would ever get done!
Perfect timing! I am not sure how your information suddenly came to my emails, yet I clicked and thought – she said everything I have been thinking about recently and am cautious to go out and do! Thank you for your timing on hitting my thoughts perfectly! Barbara Jean
So glad this was good timing for you Barbara! May this mark the end of caution and the beginning of some imperfect but important action!
Loved in Catherine! Thank you so much for this video!
You look much more beautiful with no make up btw! =)
I have been postponing LOADS of stuff!
Imperfect Action is the way forward!
I needed just this Catherine! Timely divine intervention!
Great to hear that Christina – imperfect action indeed. Am pleased I’ve propelled you into action!
(and thanks for the compliment!)
Great advice. Feeling inspired 🙂
I love this video Catherine! I much prefer ‘real’ videos like this than videos that are too polished and you still look fab! I have been putting off writing to my email list, lovely people have taken the time to sign up and I’ve abandoned them because my writing isn’t perfect, my knowledge isn’t perfect and I am scared to do videos. Watching this I realise I don’t need to be a great writer, know everything or look fancy pants on screen – I’m inspired to take imperfect actions! I think I need a reminder of this that I will see everyday. Thank you and please do more videos like these, love it!
Thanks so much – I’m glad you liked it – sans make-up and all (probably a one-time-only event!). I’m so glad it’s inspired you to get your newsletter out. And you know, maybe you won’t be perfect today – but I do know that the more of them you write the better at it you will get – so when better to start than today. More videos coming up!
Great video Catherine – well said, and even more importantly, well done!
You are so right and the message of your video has even more impact because it is not “perfectly” produced.
You’ve inspired me to prepare a training webinar today rather than put it off until I return from a conference at the weekend.
Yay! So delighted to have inspired you – you never know, if you are happy with “imperfectly perfect” you might even get it finished today 🙂
I thought your ‘imperfect’ video was just perfectly spot on!
Thanks for being so brave and showing your vulnerability to be human.
There’s hope for all yet – all of us who want to be perfectly perfect, but keep on putting off what we ‘should’ be doing!
Nike’s got it right. Just do it!
Thanks Ricky! It wasn’t necessarily easy (vanity nearly won the day) but I knew it had to be done – especially if I wanted to make the point and all the comments already show it was worth doing the ‘imperfect’
Imperfect action is better that perfect inaction. Friggin’ awesome. I tend to say: progress not perfection. Your video is perfectly imperfect and I love it.
Excellent advice Catherine – thanks!
Lovely to see and hear you Catherine! Imperfectly perfect, exactly what I needed/wanted to hear and especially powerful when we’re taking our own advice.
I’m inspired to go out and start talking to those around me and find out where they need help in there lives and how coaching will help them accomplish this.
So glad you love it Angela – and I’m pleased it’s inspired you to take action. You go!
